On Friday, 4th November 2016, a few of our Professional Computing students accompanied by their Programming lecturer paid a visit to iSpace Ghana's headquarters at Labone, Accra. The aim of this academic field trip was to know what happens at iSpace and how iSpace helps entrepreneurs and IT Startups.
iSpace is a place for community, talent, ideas, technology, social impact and creativity where people can join forces to create, learn and to inspire be inspired. The students first toured the space with the guidance of Mr. Enoch Appiah who handles social media and content management for iSpace.
They were opened up to the world of iSpace and how they empower Students who have dreams of venturing into entrepreneurship. Our students showed keen interest in the Code school currently being run.
They got the opportunity to interact with Startups who work from the iSpace hub and also asked questions on what it takes to be an entrepreneur in Ghana.
Before they left, iSpace set up a quick meeting between our students and Mr. Jonathan Larweh (Instructor for the Weekday code school). They spoke about their love for the Code School and showed interest in Android App Development.
On behalf of the management and staff of HillCity College we wish to express our gratitude to the iSpace Ghana team for hosting us warmly.
